The Pasta Bar Veneto Review

The Fateful Pasta Bar Veneto Visit!

After making an enthusiastic plan to devour upon a scrumptious buffet in the Main Street at Residency Towers , followed by spending some decent time with friends at Bikes & Barrels, the plan crashed down to earth! Thanks to  our ignorance regarding the fact that it was a dry day(no liquor , no Residency Towers – the guys said!) Eventually, we ended up in the very famous Pasta Bar Veneto which is quietly tucked in one of the popular roads of T. Nagar!

What’s on the Menu? – The Food

The Pasta Bar Veneto’s menu is probably THE dream come true menu for any Italian food enthusiast. It is filled with an array of pastas, pizzas and antipastis, not to forget the flavorful Italian desserts. For the starters, we had portions of the cheesed garlic bread, Mushroom and cheese crostini and the potato wedges. The crostini was pretty good, thanks to the cheesiness touched by the minced mushroom. However, the garljc bread was just passable. Surprisingly, the portions of these starters were not what is expected from the way they’re priced. The potato wedges managed to lift the spirits up a little bit, thanks to their freshness and decent portion size.

For the main course, I played safe with the Penne Arrabiata , while my buddies went for the Maceroni and corn baked lasagne and Panna con proscuitto di polio e piselli (Yes that was way too hard to pronounce!) . Being  a fan of the red sauce, I liked the Penne Arrabiata. It was filled with the flavor of tomato and spicy enough to impress me. The Panna con proscuitto di polio e piselli was a fusilli with cream sauce pasta with chunks of chicken. It was a decent pasta to try out if you live the combination of chicken in the white sauce. The lasagne was just passable and the portion size was fine too.

We gave the desserts a miss as we continued on with our mint with milk base sheesha all through the end. However, I have been hearing good things about the Pasta Bar Veneto’s tiramisu which I will definitely try when I visit them again. The drinks (Green Apple Mojito) was a perfect thirst quencher!

The Pasta Bar Veneto Ambiance & Service

The Pasta Bar Veneto looks posh and rustic on the outside and is tucked in a silent corner on one of the busiest roads in T.Nagar. The open seating area for the sheesha lovers looks like a decent place to hangout as well. The service in my opinion was a tad slow as the waiters had to juggle between tables inside and the ones in the open area. They however managed to keep up the spirit and served up with a smile.
